Central Park Bangkok, Silom’s New Mall Guide

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Central Park sits at the Silom and Rama IV corner, inside the Dusit Central Park development. Central Pattana built it as their 43rd shopping centre and the retail piece of a 46 billion baht mixed-use project in Bangkok’s central business district.

Three features earn it a visit rather than a passing glance.

Thailand’s largest roof park at Central Park Bangkok

A 2.8 acre elevated green space, the largest roof park in Thailand, designed as an extension of Lumpini Park across the road. It cascades down a hillside layout from the 4th floor to the 6th and opens onto 180 degree panoramic views across the city.

Bangkok runs short of usable public green space at height. This is the most interesting thing in the building and the reason to arrive at golden hour rather than midday. Come at 5:30 PM, take the views, then move down for dinner.

Rain closes the appeal fast. Our Bangkok rainy season guide covers the months where an open roof deck is a gamble and what works indoors instead.

Where to eat at Central Park Bangkok

Central Pattana positioned the food floor as a culinary landmark rather than a food court, and the numbers support that. Park Side Market on the LG floor holds 70 street food legends serving over 1,000 dishes, alongside a collection of Michelin Guide eateries. More than 50 dessert, coffee and tea brands trade across the centre, several making their Thailand debut.

One meal in this building belongs on the LG floor. The upstairs restaurants are good. The street food floor is the reason people cross the city.

What brands you will find at Central Park Bangkok

Around 550 global and Thai brands across eight levels, including first-time-in-Thailand restaurants and exclusive concepts.

The centre has been opening in phases, so the tenant list keeps filling in. As pure shopping, Central Park offers little that Siam Paragon or ICONSIAM do not already carry. The roof park and the food floor separate it from both.

How to get to Central Park Bangkok

The honest answer is that you probably do not need a driver for this one.

Central Park connects to the BTS, the MRT and the Skywalk, serving over 70,000 commuters a day. Staying anywhere on the Silom or Sukhumvit lines makes rail faster than a car, and far faster during Rama IV rush hour.

A driver earns his place when Central Park forms one stop in a longer day. Pairing it with Wat Pho and Wat Arun in the morning, or heading out to a night market afterwards, costs you a lot of walking in the heat on rail. Our private car and van with driver in Bangkok covers half-day and full-day bookings for that kind of route.

How to plan a Bangkok day around Central Park

Morning at the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Lunch on the Park Side Market floor. Late afternoon on the roof park when the light turns and the heat drops. Evening at a night market or a rooftop bar.

Lumpini Park sits opposite, so the roof park and the ground-level park read as one long green stretch if you have the time for both.

For the evening leg, our guide to Bangkok night markets covers Jodd Fairs, Rot Fai Ratchada and the Chinatown stretch. For the wider district and how Silom connects to the rest of the city, see our Bangkok city centre attractions guide.

What to check before visiting Central Park Bangkok

The centre has been opening in phases. Some floors and tenants may not trade when you visit, so check the mall’s own channels before travelling for a specific store or restaurant.
